General Info:
Thrift Shop – is open tomorrow, October 24th 10a-2pm and Monday, Oct 28th 6p-8p and Sunday, November 3rd after service.
November Newsletter submission due date is THIS Friday – October 25th, for all events, info, changes, updates etc. November CR will be out on 10/31.
Family Fall Fest – CUMC is spicing things up a bit this Fall with a FAMILY Fall Fest event combined with a Trunk N Treat, THIS SUNDAY October 27th at 11:30am – 1:30pm . Anyone wishing to volunteer, we need trunks with treats and hosts for games/activities, please call the church ASAP –
Those planning on attending to please RSVP to the church office by this Friday so that we can be well prepared! Walk Ins are WELCOME!
CUMC Annual Church CHARGE Conference – Monday, October 28 at 7pm – We encourage all to attend in support and growth of our church.
If your committee does not require a form to be submitted – you can turn in a report of that committee’s actions and achievements this year.
Attention Church Council Chairs and Committee Teams and Ministry Leaders – all conference reports and materials should have been submitted by now – please make sure a copy was sent to the church office.
Our Preschool is having a Trunk N Treat next Wednesday – Oct 30th at 11:30am – 12:30pm for the kids – They are looking for folks to set up a trunk and greet the kids with a treat – anyone interested, please sign up with Mrs. Smith at 815-467-4708.
Turkey Supper is Nov. 2nd – Thank you to all who adopted a TURKEY or bought a PIE ‼! Call the church office to place your orders or see the Turkey Supper Table on Sunday to do so. Walk Ins are welcome, but limited! Visit the Turkey Supper SIGN UP tables in the Narthex to help with volunteering! Share this invite for a delicious dinner with friends and family!
All Saints Sunday – is November 3rd. Please call the church office with names of loved ones who have passed away since Nov. 2023 to be included in our special Sunday Insert as we remember those who have gone before us – You are welcome to bring a photo of loved ones to place on the MEMORY TABLE in the Narthex that morning.
Election day is Tuesday, November 5th. Be sure to VOTE – it really does matter!
SHOPPERS – Mark your calendars to come do early HOLIDAY Shopping – UWFaith Craft-Vendor Fair is Saturday, Nov. 16 9a – 2pm. Bake Sale, Snack Café, Door Prize drawings with 40+ vendors on site!
UpperRoom Devotion & Prayer with Pastor Doh is open to anyone, and meets on Tuesdays at 9am in the choir room. No material is needed. Devotions will come from the monthly UpperRoom devotion booklets.
Channahon UWFaith Reading Club started a new book – ‘The Measure’ by Nikki Erlick – Discussion will be Nov. 7th at 6pm in room 145.

Trustees Project Campaign
The report below describes the Trustee’s plan of church improvement projects and the budget needed. A special Project Campaign is underway.
Funds collected is currently at $37,112 as of 10/25/2024. Special giving envelopes are available in the Narthex. Thank you to all for such generous giving!

Barb Allen – My brother Joe is having out patient surgery for a port to be put in for kidney dialysis.
Jackie Goggins – Larry continued to have healing issues. Seeing Surgeons and hope for a treatment that will help with pain and healing!
Lana – Prayers for the Phyllis Feeney and her family on the recent passing of Mickey Feeny.
Christy Juarez – My sister was in the final stages of her journey last weekend. She passed away on Sunday night 10/20. Please keep her husband Terry and our whole family in your prayers.
Kris Hayden – prayers for the LoDolce family on the unexpected death of their son Jeremy, 26yr old.
