All Saints Sunday – is Sunday Nov. 2nd – please let the office know by October 26th , if you have someone who has passed away since last November, to be added to the memorial list, and send a picture to be added to the memorial pictorial.
Thrift Shop – is OPEN tomorrow Thursday Oct 23, – 2pm and Monday Oct. 27th 6p-8p
November Newsletter – all events/details/changes etc for the November calendar and newsletter are due in the office by THIS Friday, October 24th or sooner.
Lots of great things happening and our calendar is filling up.
Education Team – Trunk N Treat Event – will be on Halloween 10/31, 2p – 3pm to kick off their treating evening – the kids are off school that day and they can come
Enjoy some trunk or treating and other things we have planned. Anyone wishing to decorate a trunk and distribute candy, please be here on 10/31 and ready by 1:45pm
Education Team is working to bring back KIDS CLUB – CRAFT NIGHT – needing some supplies – old cards/any kind of CRAFT ENBELLISHEMNTS – collection bin is in Fellowship Hall.
Turkey Supper Carry Out – November 1st – Walk ins are welcome – but reservations are preferred – Online ordering & payment is available on the Zeffy Link – 2025 Turkey Supper
Adopt a Turkey and Buy a Pie fundraising and volunteer sign up have begun, in the Fellowship Hall today after service.
Please see the Turkey Supper Prep Schedule at bottom of this email – then sign up in FH or call/email the church office – for those that you are feeling called to help.
Pastor’s Bible Study – a new study on Mondays at 11:30am in FH beginning November 3rd – will delve into scripture, prayer and discussion – Just need a bible – we have some here if you need one.
There is a sign up in the Narthex – so that Pastor can be prepared.
UWFaith Craft & Vendor Fair – Nov. 15th – still has openings for Vendors/Crafters. Contact the church office for forms and approval.
There will be a UWFaith bake sale that day – so ladies – start your ovens!! And Shoppers – mark your calendars.
Volunteers needed Friday Nov. 14, 6pm -7:30m and Saturday, day of event – 7:30a – 9am and 3p-4pm to help vendors load/unload.
Confirmation & Jr. High Youth Group – combined with MUMC – calling all 6th – 8th graders for a first night gathering at CUMC, on Sunday, November 16, 5pm – 5pm/ pizza, study, games and activities!
All Church Thanksgiving Celebration Pot-Luck – mark your calendar for Sunday, November 23rd after church – sign up will be out soon – Pot-luck, to bring a salad, side dish OR dessert!
Upper Room Prayer & Devotions – Tuesday mornings, meets at 9:30am in the choir room. (Please see the bottom of this email for ZOOM link/details.)
Choir – Rehearsal– Wednesdays 3:30pm – Anyone interested in singing with the choir, is welcome at rehearsals. Any questions, please see Brittany Alcantar.
Preschool is in Session – The Education Wing is not available 8:30a – 3pm when the children are present. Check the church calendar for days they are not here.
The calendar changes often, you can refer to it online as well, for any changes/updates.
Our ON-LINE PRAYER WALL is on our church website too – leave a prayer, say a prayer – visit everyday – let those who have left a prayer know you have prayed

Susan Schuler – Larry will be inducted into the IL Stock Car Hall of Fame on October 25th!
Christy Juarez – Declan got to be part of the Kids Day @ the Joliet Slammers Field, and a swim & treat at the Joliet Park District – He’s having so much fun.
Pastor Ayla’s daughter Nura Zaki passed her BAR EXAM in Pennsylvania.
Carol Jones – my grandson and his wife had their baby last Tuesday – at 5weeks early – still in the hospital as of past Sunday, but may be home yesterday. They are all doing great and thank everyone for your prayers. God is Good!
PRAYERS –

Sandy Fodero – continued prayers for my brother, Dennis Randoplh, moved to Hospice, prayers for a peaceful transition into eternal life.
Christy Juarez – my mom’s Celebration of Life will be on November 15 in Rockford IL, prayers for ou family.
GRATITUDE:
FYI – The month of October is PASTOR APPRECIATION month!!!! We are so grateful for Pastor Ayla – what a blessing she has been thus far and continues to enrich our church with her energy for more opportunities to bring the Gospel to our church and community!
Thank you from Jan Sloan – for the cards and prayers. She is on the road to recovery and hopes to be back in church after the new year. Thank you.
