Prayers, Joys & Gratitude from Sunday, Dec 15 and through the week.
Prayers for the O’Brien Family. Deb states: “At the beginning of November, Mike went to the doctor because he was feeling a lot of stomach pressure and his stomach kept growling really loud and long. A cancer diagnosis was confirmed with a biopsy. Mike’s cancer is B cell lymphoma. The bad news is that it is the kind of cancer that does spread and does come back and the mass is as large as a baseball. The good news is that it does not appear to have spread anywhere else yet. We have been referred to a very good surgeon. Mike will be having surgery this Sunday. They will remove the tumor, some surrounding tissue with lymph nodes, and the section of his intestine that is affected. He is currently scheduled for 11:15am and the surgery should last about three hours. Once healed, he will start a chemo regimen, but we don’t have details on that yet. If you all could send a few prayers our way, we would certainly appreciate being in your thoughts. “
Nancy Kundys – my friend who is dealing with health issues, her husband has been put in hospice care.
Paul Weller – Prayer of remembrance for Karen Weller who would have been 77 today (12/15)
Martha Ulmer – continued prayers for Kent Ulmer.
Kris Hayden – prayers for my dear friend and her husband sailing their boat from Key West to St. Juan Puerto Rico. It is a 10day sail. Prayers for my friend Kristen with a recent breast cancer diagnosis. Prayers for my Uncle Tom, needing heart surgery sometime early January.
Lou McCoy – Our preschool had their Christmas Program last Friday – with singing in the Sanctuary filled from front to back with family. Then had goodies and a visit from Santa. It was awesome to see all the kids and their families celebrating!
Altar flowers on Sunday were given to celebrate Donna Nelson’s Heavenly birthday – from Kris Hayden, Nelson & Slachetka families.
33 sets of sheets and pillows and 2 weaved sleeping mats w/pillows were donated to for the Chatham Mission.
