Greetings Channahon UMC Members, Families and Friends.
 
1 Thessalonians 5:18, “Give thanks IN ALL circumstances; for this is God’s will for you IN Christ Jesus,”
Psalm 100:4, “Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise!”
Lord, when we have food, help us to remember those who are hungry;
When we have a home, help us to remember those who have no home at all;
When we are clothed and comforted, help us to remember those who are without;
When we are without pain, help us to remember those who suffer;
When we have work, help us to remember those who seek for work.
We give thanks and praise for all that God has blessed us with – may we be a blessing to others, now and always.
AMEN

   This week:  General  Info & Reminders:
 
Hanging of  the Greens – is Tuesday, Dec 2 at 10am.  Those wishing to stay for lunch after, please sign up in the Narthex so we can be prepared – or call/email the church office.
 
Senior Lunch – is Wednesday, Dec 3rd – call 847-738-1268 to rsvp or sign up in the Narthex.
 
Thrift Shop – is open Thursday Dec. 4th ,  10a – 2pm and Sunday Dec 7th  after service. Kids Sunday School Thrift Shop Christmas Gift Shopping is Dec. 14. During Sunday School hour.
 
Winter Food Drive – lists are available – grab one today – collection is next Sunday Dec. 7.
 
Blue Christmas Service – Tuesday Dec. 9th at 6pm – if getting through the holidays is tough – You are invited!
 
Kids Jingle Jam – is Friday Dec 12th – 5:30pm to 8pm – Parents Night Out – so sign up the kids now and enjoy some time shopping in peace! Sign up is in the Narthex or call the church office – kids 3yr old and older are welcome. Invite their friends to come join the fun (food, games, crafts, movie and more!!)

Our ON-LINE PRAYER WALL  is on our church website too  – leave a prayer, say a prayer – visit everyday – let those who have left a prayer know you have prayed

Continued prayers for healing, strength & God’s tender care for Bob & Susie Eaton, Joe White,  Jan Sloan, Larry Goggins, Frank Zink, Linda Corp.  (Please notify the church office of any updates)
Prayers for Bob Eaton, under Hospice Care and Susie undergoing cancer treatment.
Continued prayers for Brittany’s Mom, Barb for healing after another procedure on her foot.

GRATITUDE:
Thank you for such a wonderful Thanksgiving Church Pot Luck Brunch last Sunday – it was so much Fun!!
        We will have another one in December , after our Cantata Service on Dec. 21st – sign up will be out soon.
